HOP is craft beer brewery brand that originated in Cape Town in the year 2022. The company has been making an impact in the beer industry and guarantee only the best quality beer. A Hop House Brewery will be opening in Pretoria to give costumers a true Cape Town Craft Beer experience. The Hop Craft Beer products will be brewed at the beer pub where costumers can feel part of the micro brewery process. Here they will experience the best and most fresh bottle of beer.
WHY HOP?
Hop is one of the main ingredients needed to be able to brew beer. They are used primarily as a bittering, flavoring, and stability agent in beer.
A hop house is a building designed for kilning (drying) hops as part of the brewing process.
Incorporating the term "hop" adds to the idea of what to expect when visiting the brewery. It clearly indicates that there is a reference made with the process of creating beer.
Beer Bottle Design
HOP's real craft ipa's are available in four different flavours. The IPA range is HOP's most popular product. The beer bottle design is aimed to attract the buyer's eye through the funky shapes and bold colours. Each bottle has an distinctive colour representing the flavour of the beer.
The hop brew pub is divided into 5 different parts:
the bar area,
the beer micro brewery,
the kitchen,
the bathrooms,
and the outside sit / standing area.
As you enter the pub the bar will be the first attraction to encounter as it catches the costumers eye with the fun and bold design. The use of the different coloured tiles adds to the overall playful and exciting design of the bar and space and creates a connection with the brand identity of HOP. With the built-in skylights, more natural light flows through the space, making the interior area more breathable.
Ceramic tiling has been used for the main interior finish, to add to the fun and bold aesthetic of the space. Colours chosen are also used in the beer bottle design, once again to strengthens hop's brand identity.
A mono pitch roof as been incorporated to the architectural style of the building that adds to a more spacious feeling when being inside the beer pub.
The micro-brewery are visible from the bar area, and also open for having a look how the beer is made. Built-in shelving with tile finishes are used for the display of the beer products and take away purchase.
A built-in beer on tap wall feature is part of the bar design, where a variety of freshly brewed hop craft beers are available to the costumers.
The indoor space is coherent with the outdoor area.
Folding doors are built facing the courtyard to create a connection with both the interior and exterior space. With greenery surrounding the courtyard, privacy has been taken account for customers enjoying their time either during the day or night time.
The seating area outside is also connected with the interior in term of the furniture materials and finishes used. Once again the tiling has been made part of the furniture design making a simple yet stylish statement.
